4th of July and Vacation Nail Design

This is a late post but, this is what I did for My 4th.

My husband & I went to Vegas without the kids to get away & have some fun.
It went well but, we may have partied a tad too much LOL.

This is my first attempt at freehand nail art.

The polishes I used are:
"Ruby Pumps" by China Glaze
"Royal Navy" by Orly
"Dorothy Who?" by China Glaze
508 Star Designer by Jordana

Miss Conduct by ORLY - Naughty and Nice Collection

I just bought this polish from Sally's Beauty Supply last week because I had to have it knowing how gorgeous it already was. It is called "Miss Conduct" by ORLY from the 2012 Naughty & Nice Holiday Collection. It is a pink / magenta scattered holo polish that is fully opaque in two coats. I am totally loving it! It is a quite powerful holo considering you don't really need certain lighting to see how it sparkles & shines.

Last Friday Night Meets Royal Navy

I think this polish is very fitting for today since it is Saturday. I applied one coat of "Last Friday Night" by OPI on top of "Royal Navy" by ORLY. Last Friday Night is a small teal, silver and, gold glitter polish; with what appears to be a cornflower blue jelly base. I then added one coat of Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat over the top. Remember when applying a glitter polish, if you want it to appear shiny as it does in the bottle; you must apply a top coat. If you're going for a matte glitter look that's okay too; you would then use a matte top coat.

A Beautiful Royal Navy

Hey there, glad you could stop by and check out my little piece of heaven! Today I am wearing a gorgeous blue polish that is made by Orly. The color is called "Royal Navy". It's a nicely vibrant blue with micro size shimmery teal glitter throughout it. The application was went very smooth and really only needed one coat but, I will always apply at least two.

My Galaxy Sponged Look

I did this look with "Androgynie" by ORLY, "Rococo A-Go-Go" also by ORLY, "Sea Spray" by China Glaze and last but, not least, "You're S-Teal The One" by Nicole by OPI. I applied the Androgynie with 2 coats and let it dry with Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat, after that I sponged on each of the other polishes in various areas. Almost forgot to mention... After all of that I took a nail dotting tool & took 2 silver hexagon glitters out of the "Crown Me Already" by OPI polish for each nail and applied them randomly. Unfortunately my images did not come out as gorgeous as the look did in person.

"Androgynie" by ORLY

This is a cosmic black jelly with multicolored hexagon shaped glitters inside as well as smaller finer gold and silver glitter. It is called "Androgynie" and is made by ORLY. It is from their 2011 holiday collection called "Holiday Soiree".

I personally luv it & will be using it for a galaxy look in the near future.

"Rock It" by ORLY

"Rock It" is a shimmery foil type of polish and the color is Maroonish Red by ORLY. It is from the 2001 Mineral FX Collection. I love the color & think it is very stunning on. It was easy to apply with two coats.

Sponge over Cinderella

I decided to practice more on sponging so I went with "Neptune" by Sinful Colors over "Cinderella" also by Sinful Colors & moving on to "Thinking of Blue" by Sally Hansen (complete) & then on the tips I wanted it darker and sparkly so I added "Blazing Blue" by Sally Hansen (insta-dry) followed by "Stone Cold" by Orly.

It doesn't appear to be as blended as I had hoped for but, is still nice looking.
